ATP Allergen Test
Rapid detection of allergen residues on surfaces in under 45 seconds. Suitable for cleaning validation, cross-contamination prevention and HACCP audit documentation in the food industry. Specifically designed for food production where allergen control is legally required — detects 9 major allergens including shellfish, egg, fish, peanut, milk, sesame, soy, tree nuts and wheat.
Uses the dedicated AG channel of the novaLUM II-X for enhanced sensitivity. Patented thread design, pre-moistened swab with biofilm-breaking tip, recyclable components and metal-detectable foil seal. Store refrigerated for maximum shelf life; stable at room temperature for at least 1 week. Supports FSSC 22000, BRC and SQF audit documentation.

Performing AllerGiene allergen detection with the novaLUM® II-X
Step-by-step test procedure — AllerGiene
Follow the steps for preparation, sampling, activation and measurement.
Important: remove the black cover only after activation, immediately before inserting the test into the novaLUM II-X.

Open PLANS
Tap PLANS on the novaLUM II-X home screen.

Choose sampling plans
Select PLANS again to open the list of saved sampling plans.

Start the correct plan
Select RUN next to the sampling plan for this test.

Select the sampling location
Use the left/right arrows or list view to select the correct location. Check the ALG screen code. Enter operator details if required.
- At the sampling location
Withdraw the swab at the sampling location
Move the test to the sampling location with the holder closed. Only there, immediately before sampling, gently withdraw the swab with a slight twisting motion. Do not touch the swab tip.

Sample the surface
Swab an area of 100 cm². Rotate the handle during sampling so the whole swab tip contacts the surface.

Reinsert and activate
Reinsert the swab and twist the handle fully down. Gently shake sideways 3 times.

Shake the test again
Unscrew the handle completely. Hold the handle and shake the AllerGiene test 3 times so liquid is forced into the microtube. Twist the handle fully down again.

Remove the black microcap
Remove the black microcap only after activation, immediately before inserting the test into the novaLUM II-X. Check that the white tablet has broken apart.
- Measure & assess
Insert the test and measure
Insert the AllerGiene fully into the measurement chamber. Hold the novaLUM II-X upright and press the Run Test icon to start the measurement.

Read the result
This manufacturer procedure specifies 20 seconds. Assess PASS/FAIL against your configured limit. The screen shown displays an example result.
